How to create an Incident

4. Step-by-step instructions

Step 1 - Create an Incident
  1. Click the Involv Manager toggle to open the side navigation panel.

  2. Select Manage Content.

  3. Click Incidents in the sidebar.

  4. Click Add to create a new incident.

  5. Enter a title for the incident.

Step 2 - Edit and Translate the Incident Title and Description 
  1. Click the Translate button to enable language translation for the incident title.

  2. Enter the full incident description in the Rich Text editor.
  3. (Optional) Add a hyperlink to the incident description and choose whether it should open in a new tab.

  4. Click Confirm, then click OK to save the translation.

  5. Click Back to return to the incidents list.

Step 3 - Configure your Incident Settings
  1. Select the urgency level: Regular, Warning, Urgent, or Solved.

  2. Click Pick a date to set the start date, then click Save.

  3. Click Pick a date to set the end date, then click Save.

  4. Enter a number to define the display order of the incident.

  5. Toggle Show Pop-up to enable a pop-up notification.

  6. (Optional) Select an Audience to target a specific group. Leave blank to show the incident to all users.

  7. (Optional) Configure a Button and Button URL for additional information.

Step 4 - Finalize
  1. Click Save to apply all changes.

  2. Click Close to exit the incidents editing panel.

     


5. Additional guidance

To configure the Incidents webpart on your landing page: 

1. Open your page in edit mode 

2. Open the properties panel of your Incident web part.
