How to configure the "poll" component?

Common Causes/Issues:
- You want to gather feedback through polls on your intranet
- You're unsure how to create or display polls on a SharePoint page
- You want to use an existing poll from another site
Solution Overview:
To add a poll on your SharePoint site, first insert the Involv Poll web part. Then choose whether to select an existing poll or create a new one. You’ll be able to customize your poll with various options like question type, audience targeting, anonymous voting, and scheduling.

Tactical Rundown:
Step 1: Add the Involv Poll Web Part

Go to the desired location on your SharePoint page.

Click Edit and then click + to add a new web part.

Search for and select “Involv Poll”.
Step 2: Choose Between “Select Poll” or “Create Poll”
Option 1: Select Poll

When you select this, the configuration side panel will appear.

Confirm the “Use of polls from other sites”.
-
Enter the site URL where the poll is hosted.
-
You should now see a dropdown with all active polls available on that site.
Option 2: Create Poll

Ideal for first-time users or when a new poll is needed.

Begin setup by configuring the following options:


Step 3: Configure the Poll
📝 Title
The name of your poll. This is shown to users on the front end.

Choice

Text

Multiple Choice (New in Involv 5.1)
Ensure you're using version 5.1 or later to access Multiple Choice.
📊 Vote Display
Choose how results are shown:

Votes – Number of votes per option
-
Percentage – % of total votes


➕ Options
Configure your answer options:

Add / Delete options
-
Reorder options
-
Translate options for multilingual support
(click the chevron-down to translate your poll)


➕ Add an Extra Question
Use this to create multi-question polls.

Limit poll visibility to specific user groups.
📅 Scheduling
Set start and end dates for your poll. Ideal for planning campaign launches in advance.
📱 Show Poll on Mobile
Mobile configuration may require support. Contact your consultant if needed.

🕵️ Anonymous Voting
Allow users to vote without revealing their identity.

⚠️ This setting is irreversible once the poll is published.

How to view the poll results?
In the Involv manager under Analytics there is a tab concerning the Polls.
Here you can search for the question you want the responses of.

You can view the responses and what response won the poll.
