Setting up the notification preferences

Overview

This guide walks you through the process of editing notification preferences properties in your Involv environment. You’ll learn how to manage content types, configure subscriptions, set channel preferences, and republish changes.

 

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Click on the element
    Begin by selecting the element you want to edit.

  2. Change the title of the webpart
    Adjust the title as needed to match the purpose of the webpart.

  3. Video step (Play Now)
    View the demonstration video for a visual walkthrough.

  4. Click on “Manage content types”
    Open the content type management panel.

  5. Add or delete content types
    Here you can add new content types or remove those you no longer need.

  6. Click on “Incidents”
    Select the Incidents content type from the list.

  7. Click the indicated option
    Select the option or icon referenced in the demo.

  8. Click on “Add and save”
    Confirm your changes to add the selected content type.

  9. Video step (Play Now)
    Review the video to see how incidents are added.

  10. Confirm incidents are added
    Verify that the Incidents content type is now active.

  11. Click on “Content subscription”
    Access the subscription settings.

  12. Enable or disable content subscription
    Toggle the option to allow or prevent users from subscribing to content.

  13. Click on “Channels”
    Open the channels settings page.

  14. Set channel preference permissions
    Decide whether users can set their own preferences for this channel.

  15. Click on “Mobile”
    Open the mobile notification settings.

  16. Click on “Republish”
    Save and apply all your changes.
